Disneyland Paris Restaurants | Blogmas Day 2
Welcome to day two of my Blogmas challenge!
As I mentioned in a previous post, David and I will be heading back to Disneyland Paris again for a short break this month!
We have a free half board meal plan included in our Disney holiday package, so I have been researching some other restaurants for us to try out.
When we stayed at the Santa Fe hotel, we had standard meal vouchers. These allowed us to have a free breakfast inside the park and could eat at some buffet restaurants across the resort, but we had to pay extra for table-service restaurants.
As we’re staying at the Sequoia Lodge this time, we now have Plus meal vouchers! This means we only have to pay extra for Premium restaurants such as Walt’s or Inventions. You can find out lots more information on meal plans here.
We also made our table reservations by calling the number on the Disneyland Paris website here. I will advise that it is a French number so phone calls are quite costly if you call on your mobile! Definitely better to call on a landline. You can make reservations up to 60 days prior to your stay. We tried to get them done as early as possible as we thought it may get busy with it being in the lead up to Christmas.
Breakfast
When we visited in September we were given vouchers to use at the Café Hyperion in Discoveryland. This included a choice of a bacon and omelette burger or pain au chocolate/ croissant or baguette with jam. You could also get a hot drink and a bottle of water or orange juice. I’m a really slow drinker so having this extra bottle of drink saved me money because I didn’t have to buy any extra drinks during the day!
We discovered we could use our vouchers in one of the cafes on Main Street though, but this only gave us one croissant or pain au chocolate with the two drinks. This was enough to keep us going until lunch though so we avoided the breakfast queues and did this instead!
This time we have to go to the Restaurant en Coulisse in the Disney Studios Park to get breakfast. We might try this but will probably see if we can still do our café option instead!
Quick Service
Fuente Del Oro: This Mexican-style quick service restaurant in Frontierland was super tasty on our last visit. I later discovered they also serve vegetarian tacos that I’m eager to try! I’m also looking forward to having some more delicious churros!
Café des Cascadeur: This 50s diner trailer is in the Disney Studios Park and if you’re a vintage lover like me, then you’ll wanna eat here! Sadly, I wasn’t too impressed with the menu when I visited in 2009 as their vegetarian option was pretty bad. But it looks like they have revamped it and I’m interested in giving it another try because I love the restaurant theming!
Bella Notte: David and I fell in love with the pizza at this quick-service restaurant so we had to add this back on our list of places to eat at again.
Buffet/ Table-Service Restaurants
Annette’s Diner: We didn’t manage to make it here on our last visit, so we thought we’d add this 50s style restaurant back on our list again.
Cape Cod: This buffet restaurant is in the Newport Bay hotel and I’ve heard great things about the seafood selection they have on offer.
Inventions: As we have the Plus dining vouchers, we thought we’d use these and pay the extra to dine at this buffet restaurant in the Disneyland hotel. I’ve heard nothing but good reviews about Inventions and I also read that characters walk around and interact with you at your table too!
I'm going to be taking lots more pictures of the food this time round. I intend on writing a big round up blog post of my favourite places to eat at Disneyland Paris so keep an eye out for that! :) I'm also hoping to try more of the treats and snacks they have on offer so I can write about those too!
What are some of your favourite restaurants at Disneyland Paris? Did I miss any of them out? I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
