2017 Year End Summary
So it’s New Year’s Eve, a time to reflect on my achievements of 2017!
At the beginning of the year I set out to achieve:
Blogging more regularly
The beginning part of this year wasn’t so great for blogging. I didn’t have much of a focus or drive, but after meeting my now boyfriend and the adventures we’ve been on, I found what I enjoy to write about. I tried to make up for my lack of blogging at the beginning of the year with Blogmas in December, bringing my total number of blog posts to 45! I’m so happy with what I am writing about right now, and there’s plenty more planned for 2018!
Budgeting
I could skip this one because it was a bit of a failed goal this year, but lessons have been learnt and 2018 will be the year to apply what I have learnt.
Traveling
I didn’t travel too far afield this year, but I was able to see a small part of Paris and visit Disneyland Paris twice this year! I already have some potential travel plans for 2018 lined up so watch this space!
Take more photos of myself
I haven’t taken tons of photos of myself this year, but I have taken more than I thought I would have! I was also able to pick up the confidence to vlog this year and get infront of the camera so that was a big achievement of mine.
See my friends more often
A long-time friendship of mine broke down at the beginning of this year, which was a hard time for me to get through. I had no choice but to break away from it so I could focus my energy on more positive friendships.
I was able to see more of some friends in London, but I was also able to meet my now boyfriend too, who has been there for me as a friend and the greatest, most supportive boyfriend I could have asked for.
My best friend also moved to Hong Kong in the summer. I was so happy to see her at Christmas and can't wait to go visit her!
Round up 2017 has been a mostly positive year and as a whole I have achieved almost all of what I aimed for. There is always more room for improvement though! If you’d like to read about what I hope to achieve in 2018, come back tomorrow for my 2018 New Year’s Resolutions! I wish you all a Happy New Year and I'll see you in 2018!
