Disneyland Paris September 2017 Day 3

Hey there! I hope you're all having pleasant weeks and welcome to day three of my Disneyland Paris trip!

David and I visited the Disney Studios park on our third day. I'd heard that everyone rushes onto the Crush’s Coaster or Ratatouille ride when the park opens... but we had a certain character we especially wanted to meet! Moana!

We queued up for about an hour to meet Moana and it was totally worth it. David was very excited to chat to her and she loved my outfit too. We talked about boats and ships and voyaging (I’m originally from Southampton so ships are my city’s history), but also how we have a special bond with our grandmothers. It was really special for us both. What was also lovely was when we spotted her on the way back from her break later in the day, she recognised us both and waved to us!

One of the rides I’ve always loved to do when at the Disney parks is Tower of Terror, which is themed around the Twilight Zone.

As advised by many YouTubers and bloggers, we decided to pick up a Fastpass for the Ratatouille ride. We had a while to wait so we were able to have some fun in Toy Story land!

Although these rides 'may' have been invented for the younger ones, we let our inner big kids out and went on the RC Racer, Slinky and Parachute Drop!

At 1pm we had our lunch reservation at Bistrot Chez Remy and oh my, it was incredible! We were using standard half board vouchers, which meant we had to pay the extra, but it was incredibly worth it!

For starters I had a delicious artichoke, cheese and sundried tomato salad, for main I had roasted codfish with a white butter sauce, ratatouille and crushed potatoes.

For dessert I had Gusteau’s Dessert which was basically a trio of profiteroles/ éclair on a choux pastry base with a raspberry sauce. It was scrumptious!

We’re so thankful we picked up fast passes for the Ratatouille ride because when we went after lunch there was a 120 minute wait in the normal queue! There was still about a 20-minute wait for the fast pass line, so I would recommend getting fastpasses as early in the day as you can.

I had heard amazing things about Mickey and the Magician show so we queued up to watch and it did not disappoint! Mickey transports into different Disney films such as The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast and Frozen whilst trying to tidy a magician’s study. The songs and lighting and dancing is spectacular and I recommend having this on your to-do list if you visit the Disney Studios park.

Disney Studios was shutting at 6:30pm during our visit, so we thought we’d finish the day by riding Crush’s Coaster. There was an hours wait in the main queue but 20 in the single rider’s queue, so we thought we’d cut time by doing that. But boy were we wrong! It took foreverrrr! The ride was fun but very short and I felt like we waited just as long in the single rider- queue as we would have in the main queue to enjoy it together.

Disney Studios Park was great fun, but we found the queues were much busier than we expected and we got less done than we had hoped. But at least there will be new things to do on a future trip.

After Disney Studios closed we headed back over to Parc Disneyland. We ate at Colonel Hathi’s in Adventureland for dinner. They served the same food as Bella Notte and since we loved the pizza on our first day, we had this again!

We took a bit more of a relaxed pace in the evening and just wandered through some of the shops on Main St. I can’t wait to show you all what I bought in my haul!

We then waited for the Disney Illuminations show to start and we managed to find a decent viewing spot, which was central to the castle but just behind the middle park area. The fireworks, laser lights and water displays were all incredible!

As we were walking out of the park, we were surprised to see Mickey Mouse up top by Main St station, waving everybody goodbye! It was such a magical way to end the evening.

Thank you to all of you who have followed me on my adventure so far! We are now over halfway through, but I still have two more incredible days to share with everyone! Day four will be going live on Sunday where David and I were able to meet some amazing characters and also explored Frontierland in the ollllld west! Also, if you know of any Disney-mad fans like myself, it would be very much appreciated if you could share my blog among your friends and family! I’d love to hear about anyone’s magical Disney holidays and share tips and advice!

TTFN- ta-ta for now! Xxxx
